I absolutely love giving kudos for good marketing. I’ve actually been meaning to post this for a while now.
Friends of mine Becki & Bryan McGinnis own and operate Autovantage Service Center in Auburn, CA. Bryan is a master mechanic and used to work for a local dealership. When the dealership went out of business, Bryan and Becky decided to go it alone and have done nothing but flourish ever since.
First and foremost, Autovantage is not a Shift+4 client. I have not sat down and interviewed Bryan and Becki for this post, either. The reason why is that I want to point out what I have noticed while having my car serviced there over the years. This is a company that pays attention to detail. It’s obvious when you are on the phone with them, it is obvious by their ultra clean garage and their ultra clean waiting area. Their demeanor (and all of their employees) with customers is like you are in their immediate family.
Another small detail that probably costs them all of 45 cents and 35 seconds I noticed when I got back into my car after having them put new brake pads on. On my seat was a package of microwave popcorn and a note that read, “Thanks for popping by!”
It’s the little things that let you know a business cares and it’s those little things that keep you coming back again and again. Great job Becki and Bryan!
